Covid-19 Safety Measures
During this COVID-19 pandemic, our chief concern is our employees’ health and safety and the communities we call home. We are taking every measure possible to protect the well-being of all team members and their families.
Since the onset of the pandemic, we have employed extensive Covid-19 prevention protocols developed by our industrial hygienist, including the mandatory use of masks, social distancing, enhanced sanitization, pre-entry health declarations, enhanced transportation and equipment clean-up procedures.
We have also maintained close contact with our occupational physician and adhered to all public health guidelines. Conuma will continue to take every reasonable precaution to keep employees safe and healthy.

Conuma has been a huge part of our community; they have brought life back to Tumbler Ridge. They had an opportunity to purchase three mines in our area, and when they came to town, they really made a focus of putting local people back to work. It’s really revitalized the town to the point where we are heathy and stable…and looking forward to the future.
I started as an operator and worked my way up; on a drill, ran a dozer, a haul truck, a loader, and eventually I just decided maintenance was the path I wanted to pursue. I got into the maintenance side of things, and now some years later, I’m a field supervisor. I like the challenging aspect of it. I would say that it is a demanding environment where motivated people definitely succeed. It’s a place where you can learn an entire facet of skills, trades and experience. If you’re motivated and hard-working and willing to improve upon yourself and listen to those around you, anything is possible.
What I like best about Conuma is I feel they value the people who work for them. They really focus on us feeling like a team and feeling like a family, and I think that’s very important. I feel like I can grow my career with Conuma.
