Our operations are in NEBC, an area rich in resource development. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, the community of Tumbler Ridge was created to host and support the development of the area’s coal mines.

Several natural resources industries support the community of Chetwynd, including our mines. The region includes the cities of Dawson Creek and Fort St. John, which also support and benefit from resource development and our activities.

Our commitment to local employment and procurement contributes to the economic health of NEBC and the province as a whole, with the company contributing more than $63 million in provincial taxes and royalties in 2022.
