On November 3 and December 13, Brule and Willow Creek Mines respectively recorded one year of operating with zero lost time injuries (LTIs) for all employees and contractors working onsite. These translate to a combined 1.83 million hours worked at the two operations without an LTI. At Conuma, our most critical value is the health and safety of our employees and on-site contractors, and achieving these milestones is both a time for celebration and a time to set even higher targets.
Steve Sercerchi, Brule’s Senior Manager of Operations, said, “I am very proud of all the people working at Brule that have made it their personal commitment to operate safely and to hold each other to the same standard.” Dudley Miller, the Willow Creek General Manager said, “This excellent safety performance has come from a lot of hard work and diligence by our leaders and employees alike, and it reflects the strong safety and performance culture we have built here at Willow Creek Mine.”
