In July, Conuma was honoured to host Mike Bernier, MLA for Peace River South, at our Quintette site. The visit provided an excellent opportunity for MLA Bernier to witness firsthand the progress and dedication involved in the Quintette restart process.
MLA Bernier’s keen interest in the project was evident as he explored how his office could support Conuma in its permitting process for Quintette Mine. His engagement and proactive approach are invaluable as we navigate the regulatory landscape.
Brian Sullivan, CEO of Conuma, expressed his gratitude for MLA Bernier’s visit. “We appreciate him taking the time to spend the day with us to understand the investment made by Conuma in the project, the jobs created, and the economic impact on the region. It’s also important to highlight the care the Conuma team is taking to protect the environment in re-starting the mine.”
The Quintette restart is a significant project for Conuma. It promises economic growth and job creation while prioritizing environmental stewardship. MLA Bernier’s support underscores the collaborative efforts necessary to achieve these goals and reinforces our commitment to responsible mining practices.
