In November, Conuma welcomed Larry Neufeld, MLA for South Peace, to the Quintette site. This visit marked a pivotal moment, offering MLA Neufeld an opportunity to witness firsthand the impressive strides made in restarting mine operations.
Reflecting on his visit, MLA Neufeld praised the Conuma team, stating, “I am impressed by the progress made over such a short period of time in getting the mine up and producing. It’s an excellent example of the ingenuity and hard work of British Columbians.”
The Quintette mine, which resumed mining operations on September 5, signifies a major accomplishment for Conuma. Its reopening is already driving economic growth in the region, generating employment, and strengthening relationships with local communities and Indigenous Nations.
We are excited to continue collaborating with the provincial government and our community partners as we further advance this transformative project.
