In December 2022, Conuma executed an agreement with Teck Resources to acquire the Quintette steelmaking coal mine near Tumbler Ridge. This announcement is both pivotal and exciting for Conuma.
The acquisition of Quintette strengthens Conuma’s position as a global supplier of steelmaking coal, provide long-term opportunities for our employees and continue to provide benefits in northeast British Columbia. The sale is targeted to close in Q1 2023.
